Travelling by road, From Islamabad: Banjosa Lake is approximately 200 km away from Islamabad, and it takes around 4-5 hours to reach there by road. You can take the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway and then turn onto the Muzaffarabad Road to reach Rawalakot. From Rawalakot, you can take the Banjosa Road, which is a narrow but well-paved road that leads to the lake. From Rawalakot: Rawalakot is the nearest town to Banjosa Lake, and it is around 20 km away. You can take a shared taxi or hire a private car from Rawalakot to reach the lake. The road leading to the lake from Rawalakot is very scenic and passes through beautiful valleys and forests.
